| I was downtown Dayton in early March meeting a girlfriend for happy hour. The snow was melting because of the rain. I chose to park in the parking garage. As I was driving up the ramps it amazed me that there was so much water dripping from upper deck to lower deck. I don’t just mean the rain coming in sideways, actual water draining through the expansion joints.
This particular parking garage was constructed in 1970 and has 450 spaces. Belzona has a few solutions for parking garges.
- Rebuilding overhead and vertical damage to concrete with Belzona® 4141 (Magma Build). This material can be troweled in up to 6” with no slumping.
- Belzona® Clear Cladding (sealant) can be used to protect the concrete structure from erosion over time. Apply this product one year, wait until the 7th year and apply again and you’ll get 20 more years life from this sealant. It’s the best sealant we have ever seen.
- Expansion joints can be permanently sealed with Belzona® 2221 (MP Fluid Elastomer). This keeps the water from penetrating the joints and causing damage to the deck.
